Neither, it is dependent on the legacy of the last Mazda RX7....it is a sedan fixed up to look like a sports car...same rotary engine but not as receptive to tuning like the older model and vastly detuned...the body is less aerodynamic....the midget rear doors are indication that it's not in the same class as a RX7...it's more like EVO...which is a hopped up Lancer, a 4 door sports sedan....personally, I would remove the doors and use doors from the RX7....Don't get wrong, G-Reddy and several other tuners have turned out great project RX8's...but I doubt that Veilside known for making the RX7 look as good as Ferraris and Lambos...will do a great widebody kit like Fortune GT for the RX7.

an RSX-8 is BOTH a drifting and drag racing car cuz for drag racing it pushs the weight instead of dragging weight and for drifting its a rear wheel drive car so the tires spin more and gain more momentum to go sideways

drag
you need to do alot for a drift car...
she jumps out of the box as a great drag car and she gets faster w/ age {like a fine wine lol:){

drifting in it is alot harder than you think, not easy to do with stability and traction controls, and RWD...
dragging is what she was made for, out of the two anyway.

i do neither (halo of innocence above my head)
