No, Turkey is considered an industrial nation (of sorts). They're not to the level of the superpowers, but they are on the same par as Brazil, Greece and much of Eastern Europe. They're not considered a "developing" nation, which is part of the definition of "third world nation".

Nope.

Third world is an old system anyways - it dates back to the cold war when the first world was the Capitalistic West, the second world was the Socialist East, and the third world was everyone else.

These days we talk about the Developed world, Developing world, and Undeveloped world. (There's sometimes a fourth category as well). Turkey is actually a fairly well-off country, along the lines of a Greece or Portugal (but not a France or Germany).

Modern turkey the descendant of ex Ottoman Empire called "the sick man of Europe" has still not reached the civilization level of Western countries.

Their police, as any south American country still uses torture on a daily basis.

Influential politicians can get away with anything.

Democracy is still in diapers.

Great part of their population are Islams who believe that Islam must be spread by force and that women are only good for having babies.

As Islamist many believe that they can use THEIR free speech to insult our religious figures but we Westerners have no right to even quote a XIV century emperor if they don´t like what he said about Islam or else they will behead us.

Therefore they are against free speech and democracy.
