You will likely need a tubing bender in the event you will have to form your new hard line around obstacles, like your original one had. Also a flaring tool.

Not terribly difficult. Will maybe take you 3 to 4 hours (from jacking up to driving). I'd rate it a 4.

You will have to bleed the lines. Make sure your master cylinder is never empty, or you will have to bleed the whole thing. You really want to bleed them until the fluid is clear, fresh from the bottle.

There are risks with the accuracy of the fittings and bleeding - after all this is your brakes. You really need someone experienced to walk you through. Much more detail than on line here.

If I understood correctly, you're telling me your brake caliper brake line is broken (or rusted through and leaking fluid)? By the sounds of it, I would NEVER recommend this particular job to a DIY!!!! Not when safety of yourself, and the other motorists on the road you share with, are put into jeopady, if you mess up this job up. There is TOO MUCH potential for error on this. If you don't flare the line fittings properly, or if you don't bleed the brakes properly, you could be potentially stuck with ZERO braking!!! Therefore, I would have it TOWED to a shop to have it done RIGHT!!!!
