First, relax. If your boss really had you on tape stealing and if he was really going to press charges against you, he'd have done so by now.
Second, if he does press charges, then go get yourself a good lawyer who has experience defending retail theft cases. This sounds like it should be an easy case to beat; I should know. Check my profile and you'll see why.
Third, if he's harassing you with phone calls at your home, go down to the police station and file a complaint against HIM. Harassment is illegal; don't sit on your butt and let him get away with it. He's trying to intimidate you, and it sounds like he's doing a pretty good job.
Stop being scared of him; if he wasn't full of hot air, he'd have done something by now. Seize the initiative; take the momentum away from him, and go file charges against him for harrassment.
Good luck!

First, he has to prove it and that means he has to prove what you have in your hand, the time the recording was made and what you did with the whatever you stole. I would record him and document all he says to you. Keep a record of all the things he says and does. What does he want from you? Why hasn't he had you arrested? This is very strange. I'd find another job first, you have to eat right? then keep all recordings, I would record him when he calls, that will be in your favor. He really can't harass you he needs to have you arrested or leave you alone. What does he want again I ask that question. Were you close, been there long and have other employees that could have stolen whatever it was? I don't get it. If he's crazy just stay away and let him do what he's going to do but try to help yourself by keeping a log and record him when he calls and keep it forever...until it's done with. Good luck.

You should contact the Dept of Labor. Did your boss even say what it was you are accused of stealing? You can also opt for a lie detector test. Calling you and harassing you is wrong. He wants you to fess up. If he calls again, ask him if you can record the conversation of him accusing you. Turn the tables on him. If he does press charges, you have the right to a pro bono lawyer. Good luck

Talk to a lawyer, it's your right. Unless he has good corroborating evidence, like an inventory ledger, and a witness, it's not enough to prove you stole anything. You may be able to come to some sort of an agreement out of court. Again, talk to a lawyer. Just because he thinks you stole something doesn't give him the right to harass you or threaten violence. If employee theft has been a problem in the past, it may be worth looking into.

Yep time to get an attorney's legal advice. If the tape is really old, it might be hard for it to hold up in court, because video is not a witness and may not be enough to charge you with anything.

Go see an attorney now. You need professional advice. If your boss threatens you, or you feel like you are in danger, go to the police. Good luck. I hope everything works out for you.

Get a lawyer....and then go to the police....and tell them you are being harrassed for something you didn't do. If you are innocent....what's the problem?....It would look better for you to be proactive I would think....ask a lawyer.

ask to see the proof on the tape, if he resists, hire a lawyer, and demand it by subphena(sp). if he show you and you are on there, your screwed, if not, you have a case of slander, and you can fight it.
