I've heard about using TCA peels, and I think glycolic peels. I know they are less expensive than laser, but can also be VERY risky if you are not careful. (I'm not recommending them, because I have very little knowledge on the subject).
Here is link to a forum I sometimes read for general girl stuff. The thread on stretchmarks is huge, but like I said, they seem to know a lot about stretchmarks, and have different methods some members use, and recommend.

(The stuff about TCA, is towards the end, I guess you could always ask them to give you a quick rundown. I wouldn't want to read all that LOL).
God bless you, and I wish you all the best. Hopefully this helps you out a little.
- Ok I'm feeling a little guilty about mentioning TCA. I was reading about it, and it can permanently scar your skin. Especially, if you have a darker skin tone; It may cause scarring, loss of pigmentation, or uneven skin tone. Just be careful, with whatever you decide to do. Here's a website for the laser procedures.

There are things that can make them lighter, or lessen the red, but you can never get rid of them. Stretch marks are scars left over by the skin stretching or shrinking too fast. The skin underneath breaks and eventually forms scar tissue.
Good: They do fade with time.
Bad: It takes a long time.. (years)
Ugly: Your stretch marks are not going to be going away for the summer.

I'm sorry honey, but stretch marks are one of those awful things you cannot get rid off. They are even hard to prevent, since genetics have a lot to do with them. Even if you eat healthy (lots of fruits and veggies), drink lots of water and moisturize your skin, you might still get them. I got a few during my pregnancy, even thought I only gained 25 pounds, had an extremely healthy diet, exercised and moisturized with everything available three times a day. Don't buy the expensive creams , you'll be wasting your money (I sure did!). But don't fret, most women get them and they will get lighter (less purple) with time, so they will blend more with your natural skin tone and be less noticeable :o)
