If you make below 100,000 bucks, NYC is the worst place to live in.
1. Too expensive so you can't even enjoy all the great things NYC has to offer.
2. Dirty!!! Especially the subways and Brooklyn, NY
3. Housing costs are very high... unless you enjoy living in a closet for 1500 rent a month.
4. Mayor Bloomberg is a rich bastard who doesn't care about city employees.
5. Traffic; bad parking; and lots of parking tickets to be had.
6. Cops make 25,000 to start. Poor bastards! Some tried to go on welfare and foodstampes... but were denied because they made too much.
7. Just try getting directions from someone. By the time you ask the fifth person on the street about how to get to Boadway, maybe, just maybe they will speak English.
8. Dog crap on the streets. Refer back to #2.
However, if you want Chinese food 3am, well, we got that.
NYC is OVER RATED!! I would discourage all to move here.

good day TX, you want to understand this one. it is Washington D.C. more suitable extremely, Da White homestead!! Why you ask? because thats the position each and each of the worst sh-t comes from. also it particularly is the position the worst human beings stay, in Da White homestead. i understand, i understand it is no longer truly a city, yet attempt explaining that one to Bush. He probably thinks D.C. stands for Dick Cheney's city.

from what I have heard it's Detroit - as someone already said.

NYC is actually one of the safest big cities nowadays - not barring terrorist attacks. So thumbs down to the clown who said that. And for the record - I hated living in NYC.

San Francisco: VERY expensive real estate/housing/everything. Chaotic, over-stimulating city with too many weirdos and the BIG ONE could outdo Katrina as far as natural disasters go.

Baltimore...the shipping and receiving is pitiful, the crime is high and the pay is moderate. The murder rate is the highest in the nation per capita and the taxes are high. There really is no great places to visit and the people are not nice!
