I think you have your head on backwards as the south feels and tries to enforce the constitution much more than the northern yanks , as they care about the country and freedom, the yanks only care about their 6 pack when they get off from work, and watch T,V, until it is bed time and the next day it is a repeat of the first, they watch the Zionist one eyed monster so much they are all fat and stupid , but, if you listen to them run their mouths they know every thing, but they can't do any thing except put a bolt in a fender or something else , but, they sure are smart, and if you don't believe it just ask one of them, and I do believe we should adopt the C,S,A, constitution and I do believe most yanks would love to since things turned out so different than you expected, the B.S. you wanted to force down the Souths throat has come back to haunt you now , RIGHT?????

Interesting question. In many ways it was the US Constitution with some fixes to try and prevent the central government from becoming so large and powerful and in spirit was much closer to the intent of the writers of the US Constitution (then was the practice at the time). In other ways, it made for an unstable country. At least it banned the slave trade - New England based ships were the primary shippers of slaves to the new world until the last country there banned importing slaves (Brazil, in 1888 I believe). Seems the US refused to sign a treaty with Britain and France allowing them to board US ships to look for slaves. In hind thought, with the Federal government having gotten so large and intrusive without the only Constitutional balance on its size, the states, having long ago lost their power, perhaps we would have been better off adopting it.

I take it you have not actually READ the Constitution of either the United States or the Confederate States of America, for if you had you would not be asking such an inane question.
If you had read them, you would know that the Confederate congress, in an effort to speed the drafting and approval of the Constitution, copied the United States Constitution nearly word for word...except for the part where they prohibit the importation of any new slaves from outside of the Confederacy while stating that all slaves currently held could be maintained as slaves, and any children of those slaves could also be held as slaves. The CS Constitution labeled the slaves as "property" instead of human beings.
Why in the world would we want to adopt that?
May I suggest a little more research on your part before you post questions such as this?
As Abraham Lincoln once said: "It is best to remain silent and thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt."
