NO. But, they have since made laws that all children must attend school. You wont find it in the constitution, back then parents taught, and then little one room school houses with teachers that taught all grades. Many are still around .
Different states have different laws on homeschooling also.

Apparently "theophile" is unaware of the Supreme Court's decision in San Antonio Independent School District v. Rodriguez, 411 U.S. 1 (1973). Education is not a constitutionally guaranteed right.

It, like the right to privacy, is subliminally written, not literally. But Supreme Court precedent has required that Americans ALL Americans receive an education. So yes, we do.
