Yay..
#5 - Of all the candidates, Obama is best equipped to listen to the people.
#4 - The Secret Service will never lose a President Obama in a crowd.
#3 - Just think of how much gas money the country could save by doing away with Air Force One - added benefits re global warming, too.

Nay. I don't have any confidence in a man who is either so inconsistent with his promises that he abandons them when the political winds shift, or is so shortsighted that he would make statements such as this that would come back and bite him in the a$s.
November 2004: "I was elected yesterday," Obama said. "I have never set foot in the U.S. Senate. I've never worked in Washington. And the notion that somehow I'm immediately going to start running for higher office just doesn't make sense.
"So look, I can unequivocally say I will not be running for national office in four years, and my entire focus is making sure that I'm the best possible senator on behalf of the people of Illinois."
[...]
But Obama seemed especially exasperated when asked if he would pledge to fulfill his term before looking to the White House.
"I am not running for president in 2008," Obama said. "I mean, come on guys. The only reason I'm being definitive is because until I'm definitive you will keep asking me this question, but it's a silly question."

Definite Yayy, on grounds of diversity. The race now includes:
- The first serious African-American contender (Barack Obama, D-IL)
- The first serious Latino contender (Gov. Bill Richardson, D-NM)
- The first serious female contender (Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY)
- A serious Libertarian contender (Rep. Ron Paul, R-TX)
- A serious anti-war conservative (Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-NE)
- The first time in 20 years that there's actually been a serious contest in both major parties! Bring it on!

It doesn't matter who we want. All presidents are elected by THIS secret and evil group that's been in control of everything for far too long!...
