Last year, I got a letter in the mail saying for me to call a number the evening before to know if I was suppose to show up to court the following day, I ignored it, Then I got another one a few weeks ago, and I said I was going to call the number but I forgot, I just remembered about it yesterday, so I missed it. But how do the courts know that I received the notice, I could have moved or been away on vacation somewhere, its not like someone served me the papers. Have you ever ignored a jury duty notice and what happened?

Don't listen to that first guy. If they were really interested in having you as a juror they would have called you or came to your house. If anyone says anything, just say you didn't get it.

I think it says on the back of the notice the consequences for not showing up. I would read it carefully if I were you. Follow the directions on what to do in your case. I would assume after missing twice they would put out a bench warrant. Don't count on them notifying you first. I received a letter 3 days after they arrested me at my house saying they might put out a bench warrant. My wife had to put out $500.00 to bond me out. don't play with them because believe me they will win!

In some states you can go to jail

If the Judge issues a bench warrent, if your ever caught with a light bulb out on your car it means automatic jail time
