Because they get their information from Fox News and from their Arena God on sunday mornings. They are afraid to get any other information than that because it might puncture the bubble they are living in.
BTW, the Hydrogen fuel cell WILL NOT WORK. It will cost way too much to establish the infrastructure. And, it will eliminate our dependence on oil, since that's what it will take to make the stuff. Why do you think Shell and BP are getting into it so much? It's extremely inefficient. Do a little research in the financials before you post. Battery power will be a major part of the solution. Battery technology will surpass Hydrogen in less than 10 years. And, it will be cheaper. People are already working on it. And, you can now find people getting over 200 miles per charge. It's only going to get better.

Dear speakeasy,
Those plans and initiatives mentioned are all done by others who care, only endorsed by Bush. You don't see him sitting in the meeting room discussing on Hydrogen formulations or any other techie jargons. He will just come to the launching of an event he woud just give his face there.
Bush's popularity rose during the terrorist campaign post 9/11. Some may view him as a Messiah, unfortunately most view him as a tyrant. Thru my perception as a foreigner, Bush may seem blunt due to his vague facts basically over any topic. These people who are still in favor of Bush, I don't blame them, it is just politics, Fox News will always want highlights and money from the people at the same time favored by the government, major companies need subsidies and initiatives from the government. Its just that humble people like us don't take the initiative to read more from alternative sources besides than the mainstream news. Well, these are just my opinion, the truth is out there. Search it yourself. Good Luck!

um the average seems to be between 30-40%, really in polling that is not very high. The only branch in gov. with an even lower approval rating is congress as a whole. I think their's is actually around 20%. Bush isn't so bad he would get 0% approval. I doubt 100% of our lives suck and are living in a cardboard box due to Bush.

They are staunch Republicans who believe in their party's leader. Some people believe it is a duty to support the President, always. That is a view I do not share, but the ability to make up your own mind is one of the great freedoms we have in this country.

I voted for him and I think under the circumstances of his presidency he's done a remarkable job.I believe that not many people could have recovered our country as quickly as he did and I'm quite positive that's why we haven't been attacked since 9/11.He also doesn't change his course when he believes in something unlike many politicians who change like the weather depending on whats popular.

Because they hate liberals more than Bush and not supporting Bush would mean the liberals win and they will never let that happen. Short of Bush starting WW3 his supporters will follow him no matter what he does.
