personally I would go with either the second or the third. The last one is the fastest processor, but I am not sure that it is worth $400 more.

I like all the different processors, and take what ever is on the shelf at the moment I desire it. But, I run http://pclinuxos.com which has been optimized for all features.

The 2nd one would be a good deal. Later on you could upgrade your cpu for cheaper when prices go down. If your tight on cash.

the 2nd one is the biggest bang for ur buck, but if you need ur computer for gaming or multi-task a lot or just want a really speedy computer get the 3rd one..the fourth one is extreme and most people don't need that much...

depends what you want out of your comp. if you are gonna need more processing power, like if you play demanding pc games, get the best one.

any of the dual cores or quad cores will work. but its your mother board you have to look at.
