Elizabeth Cady Stanton, who was the first suffragette in the mid-1800s. She started that movement when she and other women were not allowed into a meeting hall with their husbands to discuss voting rights for Black men. They said to themselves, heck, why are we fighting for Black men? We should be fighting for ourselves first.

In 1895 & 1898, she published Parts 1 & 2 of her book called "The Women's Bible." Her basic thesis was that the Bible was written by men and is innately sexist. This book was way ahead of its time. After publication of the book, the other suffragettes removed her as leader of the suffragette movement and replaced her with Susan B. Anthony, who is given sole credit nowadays for leading the suffragette movement to successful completion.

But without Elizabeth, there probably wouldn't have been a Susan.

I think you are probably looking for Elizabeth Cady Stanton. I'm not really with you on what you are crediting her with but I'm pretty sure this is who you are talking about. Here are the basics on her from wikipedia.

(Jeeziz forgive me if I've helped create another feminist!)

Voting rights was Susan B. Anthony, not Elizabeth.
Other than that, you lost me.
