The US should keeps its nose out of the business of other sovereign countries. President Chavez has the overwhelming support of the people of Venezuela, and he and his government are doing an amazing job. They have made HUGE gains for the Venezuelan people in the areas of health, education and employment.
The US government has a long history of interfering in the business of other countries, often with the intention of overthrowing democratic and progressive governments like they did in Nicaragua for example. Their only aim is to assert their dominance and influence throughout the world, and do not spare a thought for the well being of people in the countries in which they interfere.
Take Iraq for example. How many innocent Iraqi civilians have been murdered and killed as a result of the the US's pursuit for oil and dominance, while claiming to be bringing 'democracy' to the country and overthrowing a dictator that the US government actually installed in the first place? Hundreds and hundreds of thousands, that's how many!
The US should keeps its nose out of Venezuela!!!!!!

Nothing, the U.S.A. has angered the Middle East and all those countries associated with these countries, that's why the outbreak of Chavez saying "@@ @@ @@@" Iran President was just there visiting vying for support of which he's rightfully got, wake up people we're fighting a Superpower fight, not what the President of Iran wanted though he asked the states for dialogue, what he got was a snub, but who cares. hey! just allow the anger to build and build.

The USA needs to worry about the USA and not every other country in the world. If anyone is trying to rule the world it's Bush. Not that he would ever suceed at that. But he is into everyone elses buisiness he doesn't realize other countries are resenting americans. Crime rates are still high in the US and all he wants to do is go kill people and get soldiers killed. give it rest.

Put more money in developing electric cars like the Tesla, and stop buying his Oil. With no money he'll be just another nobody and no one will care.
The poor and stupid always embrace Communism/Socialism as an answer to their plight. Or a dictator to appease his power lust.

Nothing. In this interesting political climate we are living in, I would suggest to completly ignore Chavez. If you ignore them it will irrate them. Perhaps than they will be diplomatic about our way of doing politics. Let's hope we are being smart about that.

Kill him out of principle -- irritating idiot.
Just kidding.
He will ruin his country, cause alot of grief, threaten the US southern flank with his overtures to China and then be removed by the people of his country.
The US should move to establish better relations their neighbors and depend on America's most reliable weapons to destroy Chavez's attempts as empire-- economics and liberty.

Does the USA have a responsibility to do something? A better question would be, "what should the USA do about President Bush?"
