He NEVER has the right to physically hurt you! If he does, you need to get out, away from him. If he did it once, he will do it again, you can bet on that. If you find it necessary to talk badly to him, and if he hurts you for any reason, you NEED to leave! Good Luck!!

Whoa...we've got 2 problems here!
Should he hit you?
NO! That's obvious...
Should you antagonize somebody for that kind of reaction?
Again NO!
The physical act of violence takes place towards the END of a confrontation...not the beginning. There's a lot of posturing, and verbalization that leads up to it. Think about what you're saying here...I try to fight my husband by talking badly... Why?

I was married to a woman once who constantly tried to goad me into violence with her every time she was pissed about something...anything. My response to this was just to get away from her, but some people don't have the forethought or self control for that. If you ask for it, BEWARE! You just might get it.
What makes you want to push that envelope? Is this the first person you've had this kind of relationship with, or have their been others? If this is a pattern for you, it will continue whether you're with him or not. At face value, it sounds like you both need to walk away from this before it gets any worse.

If he hurt you that is not okay!! He needs help if he is going to seek his anger out that way. If your hurting yourself b/c you feel bad about abusing him verbally-that's not good either!! Maybe if you two are having differences you could do some marriage counseling to work things out together. That is if you two still have that flaming passion for one another like you did when you married and you both want to actually work through this strife in your life!!! It all works out in the end just don't give up on one another and what you morally believe in!!

Physical abuse is never acceptable. It is against the law and you should leave and press charges against him. If someone is physically abusing you, that is not love, that's called "control." You deserve better and have a right to live in a safe environment.

No! It is never alright for a husband to ABUSE a wife!! You should report his abusive butt to the police, have him arrested for domestic violence and then leave while he's locked up!

THIS WILL HAPPEN AGAIN! IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME!
