No. What you fail to understand is that doing so does affect those who are here legally, and call this home.

If you want to help so badly, then help them improve their own country's living conditions.

By your rationale, we should just go pick up everyone in poverty around the world and bring them to the U.S. Who cares that American citizens will suffer.

Morally it is o.k. to "help" anyone. You must first ask yourself in each situation, how much are you willing to loose in the process.
How much are u willing to sacrifice for yourself and your country.
And, are u willing to take responsibility for disease, higher unemployment rates, higher health insurance premiums for legal residents.

I'm for safely taking them back to their own country. I don't care to catch any of the many deseases that they are bringing over here, nor do I want to become a victim of the many criminals that are coming over. Charity begins at home.

Yes it's ok. In fact, even better would be to start a refugee rights campaign which would change the fact that your government refers to these people as 'illegals' at all.

In Australia we have a huge refugee rights campaign. We are trying to force our government to shut down the inhumane detention centres in which refugees are mandatorily locked up when they enter this country.

We should be helping these people, who are often fleeing poverty, political persecution, or wars created by our own first world countries!

It is more than ok to help people, it is our duty as human beings.
