I would say you could get into the University of Kentucky with that SAT score - but I would still encourage you to bring your GPA up higher in your Junior year up to at least a 3.0 or better and at least a 3.0 the first semester of your senior year.

Look at collegeboard's website, they offer information on all the colleges in the US, and list standard GPA and SAT scores for admittance, it's somewhat helpful.
You might also want to take a look at UoK's website, they're sure to have the stats listed somewhere on their admittance page.

They usually factor both your gpa and your test scores...you could get in because of the high test scores, perhaps you could have someone write a letter of recommendation.

Check with their admissions. If you are getting low grades in your subjects and high on tests, that means you are kind of lazy about studying. They may not like the fact that you are not making a maximum effort in your studies.
