The Foundation is called The Warrick Dunn Foundation. Here is some information I found. Hope this helps! Good Luck!
Welcome to the Warrick Dunn Foundation
Mission Statement
Dedicated to providing opportunities for economically-disadvantaged single parents and children who have demonstrated a commitment to achieve financial independence and stability.
Vision Statement
Empowering communities, one home at a time.
Welcome to my foundation website and thank you for taking an interest in my charitable activities. Growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana I was blessed to have people in my life that taught me the importance of helping others in need.
I did not grow up with many material things; but, I was surrounded by the love of my family, friends, and coaches. My mother worked several overtime hours to put food on the table and a roof over our heads. Although we did not have much, she taught me how to give of myself and to be generous to those in need.
Walking down the street you will see common everyday people going about their daily lives, working hard to make ends meet. Look closer and you will see their hardships and responsibilities.
…the mother on the street holding her toddler in one arm as she waits for the city bus so she can take her child to daycare and then go to work.
…the lady at the grocery store check-out counter with three kids in tow having to put items back because she just does not have enough to cover the bill.
Look even closer and you will see the pride in their eyes that they are doing everything they can to provide for their children. These are the people I feel most compelled to help. The Warrick Dunn Foundation strives to help those that are helping themselves.
I learned a long time ago that you cannot be everything to everyone however, each of us can do our part to help in some small way in making our community a better place to live.
Being that I grew up in a single-mother household, I have focused my charitable efforts to help single mother families obtain first-time homeownership. I believe that homeownership is the foundation to establishing a stable and productive family environment, an environment where children can thrive educationally, socially, and economically.
Sincerely,
Warrick Dunn
Warrick Dunn Foundation: Programs
HOMES FOR THE HOLIDAYS:
The “Homes for the Holidays” program assists single mother families in owning their first home by providing down payment assistance on a home and then filling the home with everything a first-time homeowner would need including: furniture, food, linens, lawn mower, gardening supplies, washer, dryer, dishes, pots and pans, etc.
The program is the primary focus of the Warrick Dunn Foundation and to date, has helped 57 single mothers and 148 children in Atlanta, GA, Baton Rouge, LA, and Tampa, FL.
RECIPIENT SELECTION:
The “Homes for the Holidays” program collaborates with non-profit organizations that manage first-time home ownership programs such as Habitat for Humanity, United Way’s IDA program and Community Redevelopment programs ran across the country through individual city offices.
Once a year our partnering non-profits anonymously nominate single mothers who have completed the mandatory course work and have properly prepared themselves for home ownership.
Through those anonymous nominations Warrick selects our “Homes for the Holidays” recipients. It's strictly the luck of the draw for our recipients and they have NO IDEA they are even being considered!
Although there is no “list” to sign up for and we do not take nominations directly from individuals, we are happy to refer you to our partners so you can start your journey toward becoming a first time homeowner. Please understand these programs help people prepare for first time home ownership on a daily basis. Their partnership with our foundation is once a year, some of them we have not worked with for over two years, and they can not promise you a nomination to the "Homes for the Holidays" program but they can help you become a homeowner if you are willing to apply yourself. Signing up for such a program will not get you nominated to us but you will at the very least be one step closer to home ownership!
Many of these programs offer down payment assistance and/or grants once the course work is completed. In addition, they find below market interest rate loans for their clients so a monthly mortgage is obtainable for even the lowest of incomes. Good luck in your journey!!!

OUTSIDE OF ATLANTA, BATON ROUGE & THE TAMPA BAY AREAS:
If you are outside these areas, your first step would be to see what first-time homeownership programs are available in your community for people with moderate to low income. Look for a Habitat for Humanity or call your city offices and ask for the “Community Redevelopment Department”. Another great resource is Fanny Mae, who typically is partnered with non-profit homeownership programs and sometimes provides down payment assistance for people who complete the mandatory course work.

Foundations do not help individuals. Contact local social service agencies, the salvation army, the lions, toys for tots, local churches. Goto the library and look in your local paper - they often list places helping people at Christmas. ETA: Christmas is actually the best time to be in trouble as lots of place help now that only help once a year. So get on the phone tomorrow. There should be lots of places with free holiday meals tomorrow and Tuesday. Rick - I venture to guess that most people run out of food stamps before the end of the month. It is not unusual at all.
