You want to wear something comfortable, but NOT the stuff you'd wear to a gym workout, no way. You want to be a little dressier that that. Wear something nice yet washeable. Like pants and a stretchy top or a skirt and a top. If you are wearing skirt - make sure it's not too narrow, i.e. you can take a wide step if necessary.

Wear shoes that are comfortable. Dance shoes would be ideal, but if you don't have them - any old dress shoes will do. No flip-flops. Snickers have too much traction, they will stick to the floor when you try to turn or spin. Wear something with leather or synthetic sole.

You will want to wear work out clothes or what you will wear to actually go dancing. I recommend wearing the shoes to class that you plan on wearing to dance when you go out, that way you get used to dance in those shoes. This is especially important if you are not used to wearing high heels and that is what you wear to dance when you go out.

well I'm dancing salsa too.. I'm wearing jeans & T-shirt.. it's comfortable.. just don't wear baggy clothes!!

What ever you would wear to a club.

I used to wear tight jeans, tight top and high heels.

You will have a blast...so much fun salsa!!
