The biggest thing to remember when towing a vehicle is not getting it going but STOPPING.. Duct tape may be fashioned into a tow device of some type, but won't transmit braking forces from the towing vehicle- best bet is rent a tow dolly or trailer- its cheaper than a tow truck and safer.

Yes , to make a duct tape rope strong enough to pull an average weight car it should be 2.5 inch diameter by 15 feet long. It must have 28 individual spun strands wound clockwise with 85 lbs horizontal pressure. Use a double figure figure eight knot to fasten both vehicles to provide a strong knot and one you can undue for future towing operations. You will need 145 rolls of tuck tape for this project.Good luck!I have one in my trunk at all times just in case.

Well, we pulled one out of the ditch one time with an entire roll of duct tape... it was starting to shred pretty good but did get that car moved!
First rule on a farm.. you can fix anything with duct tape or baling twine! LOL

No. It would not work and you would spend a great deal of money trying. Just go buy a tow strap for 20 bucks.

I would cut really long pieces of the tape, then roll it width-wise,so you're left with a round, cord like length., Then braid 3 of those really tight, then braid 3 of those 3 really tight, and I bet that's enough to do it.

Hah! Good question. Possibly. But again, your pulling a metallic* car with plastic* attachments. It might not work, according to Fabel Laxer II, a scientist.
