my cell phone is on silent and i lost it what can i do to find it?

my phone is on a silent ringer were u can't here it

my phone is on silent and i dont know what to do is there a way to like call from another phone and turn on the ringer

Call Customer Service, tell them you lost your phone, and ask them if they can trace its location for you.

If they can, good. Get the location and go get it.

If they can't, ask them to disable it - the phone will still have all your address book stuff and other data on it, but if unscrupulous types try to make calls or send text messages with it, it won't work.

Borrow a friends cell phone and try calling it from a few places you have been recently. For example the car, your room, the couch, where ever you've been. If it doesn't turn up at least you gave it a good effort to find it before sucking it up and getting a new one.

You can try calling your network provider's Hotline and request them to locate your phone. They have the ability to detect the location of your GSM by using HLR (Home Locater Registry). This is useful if your phone is still switched on.

Lets say if the phone is turned off, and supected of being stolen then it is too bad, but no worries regarding your contacts/phonebook, depends on your network provider they may have a backup of your phonebook. But you still have to buy a brand new phone.
