I've been quite into netball lately and I somehow feel the shoes that I wear for netball are not suited for the sport. E.g. I feel that I'm not running as fast as I potentially can, and find it hard to grip onto the surface etc. Does anyone have any idea what kind of shoes are best for playing netball? I play outdoors (on a sort of concrete-y surface) as well as playing indoors (where the surface is more slippery I guess). Does it matter what type of shoe one wears for indoor and outdoor netball?

I recommend Aasics Netball shoes. You can check in the store to see the specialised types for Netball. My coach has been recommending this since I started playing. I think they are suitable for both indoor and outdoor.
Good luck! :D

I think the best shoes for netball are any that provide impact-support as netball can be damaging on your body if you don't have enough support in your shoes. People on my netball team in San Francisco use either tennis or running shoes.

One additional thing to think about is to try and find shoes that have a little more ankle support - such as basketball type shoes - as those will help protect your ankle which is important as there tends to be numerous ankle injuries in netball.

As for which brand - I'd go to a store where they carry a variety of brands and just find one you like best that's comfortable. I'd recommend not trying to skimp and save though as your body will thank you later!

I hope this is helpful.
