They can't debate on the issues, so they resort to insults. Liberal ideas are contrary to human nature and therefore do not work. The idea that people will work for the collective good rather than their own interest has failed miserably everywhere that it's been tried. As (Republican) Lincoln put it "You can't strengthen the weak by weakening the strong". Showing weakness to our enemies invites attacks against us. The liberal idea that tyranny may be appeased would be laughable it wasn't endangering the entire world. Just look how well appeasement worked before World War II.
But counter their emotions with cool logic and call them on their abusive behavior and don't be surprised when you get an unsolicited apology.

Traditionally, the Democratic party has been the party of middle class and poor working people and the Republican party has been the party of the wealthy - but in resent years clever people in the Republican party have been able to bring people to their side who would normally not vote Republican by concentrating on other things that are important to them - such as the three G's - Guns, God and Gays - The result is poor working people who vote Republican - and the old time Republicans keep the money. Pay attention when President Bush says the Social Security Trust fund consists of 2 trillion dollars of "worthless IOUs" - Those IOUs were put there when congress used the money paid into the trust fund from workers wages to provide tax cuts to the rich - something that this president wants to preserve at any cost.

>>That only they know what's good for the country?<<
Umm, because the Republicans, in the last 6 years have basically drove up the deficit to record numbers and thats not including the cost of the war which is in the trillions. Bush also lied about going to war and now wants to escalate the war. What makes you think this is all good for the country. it's not protecting us from terrorists, it's creating more terrorism and making Israel more volnerable to being attacked.
I won't call you retard, stupid or lacking in education, but I do find that many people who still believe what this president says are very very uninformed.
The people in the democratic party who voted in Conneticut against Lieberman are the same people who are sick of this war. Lieberman voted with the president every time and he is very much for this war still and escalating it. It's a known fact that he is one of the most funded senators by AIPAC, which does more to lobby for Israel conservative party than it does for American causes of which this lobbying group claims to be from.
BTW, don't act so innocent, I've seen many conservative neo-con Yahoos calling liberals the same and claiming that liberals are for the government paying for everything. Which also tells me that these people are really uninformed and woefully so.

i imagine the project isn't restricted to a political celebration. that is an American custom. take a check out those few examples. when I pay my electric powered bill, because the corporation isn't positioned the position I stay I have a spread of utilising a pay station (they cost 3.00) or utilising the phone (a 5.00 cost) or on line (also a 5.00 cost) and for what, the worker on the food market is already getting paid for artwork, so the keep needs to price me, because i'm interior the keep? a modern tale become interior the information of human beings receiving unemployment having to be issued a monetary corporation card. the cardboard prices the human beings 3.00 in step with transaction for utilising the money on the cardboard. in addition they're charged a month-to-month "upkeep fee". no artwork executed, yet a tremendous number of money for no longer something. the employees on the monetary corporation are paid, the pcs are there already doing the transaction, so why the expenditures? a lot of human beings make money through "consulting" if truth be told they're paid to allow you to recognize thoughts it particularly is presented. there are a selection of veteran communities that make money charging veterans for filling out varieties which are available on line. individuals continually locate an attitude to make a dollar, purely now they're getting a school degree and utilising the regulation to legally rob you.

Name calling is evident on both sides of the issue, as is ad hominem arguments. IE you heard a democrat use an insult against someone that disagreed with them and now you are essentially accusing ALL democrats of being a certain way. The number of insults and superiority complexes are coming from both sides in equal numbers.

Democrats believe in laws to benefit all Americans.
Republicans believe in laws to benefit their beliefs and submit all Americans to that end regardless of what they might believe.
Democrat want to instill freedoms to all.
Republicans want all Americans to be governed by what they believe.
Not all think you are "retarded" "stupid" or lacking in education.
Those that have accused you of that are shameful to the rest of us. "Bad people" exist in every political party.
If you agree with the president...good for you. But ask yourself why.
Because you are idealistic or because you honestly think Iraq posed a significant threat to the security of America.
You honestly don't think Bush or any in his administration stand to financially profit from invading Iraq! Look to their former business affiliations. As soon as they have served their public positions they will return to the former business positions and REAP the financial aspects that are now ....and in the future ...exist because of the oil in Iraq.
American men and women are DYING! The terrorism threat DID NOT come from Iraq. Even now it stems from Iran, North Korea, and more importantly from 9/11's Al Qaeda.
Even many Republican Senators and Congressmen are coming out against president Bush's administration and the policies not working in Iraq.

Republicans think the same. If both parties would actually try to work together, we maight actually accomplish something. The Dems' switching stances every month isnt going to work. And neither is the Republicans' stay the course method. Lets win the Iraq war, not lose it. Bush is right. There is no reason we should lose, unless we beat ourselves. Unite my brothers!

Well all the conbservatives have is talk and their leader (Bush) is a scam artist. There was WMD or nothing and of course people will go anti-american no doubt I would too if I lived there. Imagine some democrats came rolling in through your country with tanks, "liberated" your country and stole all your oil... how the hell would you feel? The fact is Iraq was a cruel invasion and the occupiers aren't doing a good enough job. The people would be satisfied like in Germany after ww2 but they like the old system better.

If you disagree with someone of course you believe your right. As for the insults, I personally only dish them out if I think they are deserved. Some things are obviously wrong.

All of the insults hurled at you might be appropriate if you believe that the people hurling them represent the whole democratic party.
Do you believe that the mouth breathers who insult dems for no other reason than to insult a dem represent the republican party? I don't think they do.
