So his rich pals at Haliburton, Brown and Root and Carslile group could get rich overcharging the tax payers and getting overpaid for doing stuff the army and marines are supposed to do.

Oh, and Israel doesn't like Iran, or Iraq, or Lebanon, or Syria, or the Palestinians. But we are told that they don't like us because they hate our 'freedoms' (rolling my eyes).

And, why did Israel know about the WTC disaster before it happened, and they were caught filming it, yet this is not mentioned. Also, no one seems to tell about how Bush let Osama and his family leave the US immediately after 9/11, and they got special authorization from the US govt to do it, while all other air traffic was suspended. Oh, and we haven't 'caught' Osama yet. Wonder why!

The ONLY reason they are in Iraq is to take over the Middle East and control the oil and start World War 3 by having a base to attack Iran and Syria from. They want to control the whole middle east and perform genocide on Muslims. Its sick really and we should stop it. They caused 9/11. The 'War on Terror' is a lie. www.loosechange911.com Become an Info Warrior!

I agree, what what I really, really do not understand is why we have land troops in Asia....if the issue was to subdue Saddam, we could've done it from the air....keeping the peace in the middle East could not be done by putting 100 to 150,000 American troops on the ground there.

If it wasn't for oill...and don't tell me garbage like we needed to bring Saddam to justice and democracy to the Iraqis...WHAT WAS IT FOR....Bush did not wait for further inspections, he seemed to be in a rush (wasn't any different than Iran or N. Korea)...in fact the inspectors were convinced there were no WMD's...pleas, Conservatives, tell me what the reason for invading was....I can find nothing logical other than oil

It's a vendetta. It's has nothing to do with WMD, terrorism, or oil.
It's personal.

the president has the highest security clearance in the nation. He has clearance to see any and all nationa security intel. Just because he has access to it does not mean that the American people do. It would probably harm national security for him to divulge all he knows about why we went to war. He has the power to declassify anything he chooses, but that does not mean he should and it does not mean that he could not be in legal trouble for doing so. Many deomocrats also, know SOMEof this intel BUT they also know that the president cannot tell what he knows AND they use that fact AGAINST him. The worldisnot as simple asyou think it is nor is it as safe as weallwishit was. Good luck and good night.

wow pretty impressive list there articchick.

I was just going to say that saddam never followed through with his agreements he signed after the first gulf war and to me that was enough to take him out, WMD's or not.
But as you can see by that list of quotes everyong thought he was a menace.

Vengeance. Pure and simple.

See, Sadam threatened Georgie's daddy when he was President. George Sr. couldn't get him, so it was up to Jr. to do so when he got into the oval office.

And does anyone else see the correlation between OJ looking for the real killer and GW looking for Al Qaeda??

The whole war is a farce. The US was in recession and this was a great way to "create" gov't spending to get the US out of the recession. Plain and simple

Because Bush was looking for a reason to attack Sadam, and found one with the whole terrorism thing. He knew Sadam wouldn't cooperate.
