theres a movie called East of Eden and i have used a monologue from that before its really emotional i dont remember its name but i do remember how it starts

When I have to do a monologue for a specific show (as opposed to general auditions for a theatre's entire season), I have usually tried to pick something that shows not only my range, but keeps me relatively close to the character I'm audtitioning for.
For example, if auditioning for Danny in "Grease", I might choose a scene from "Rebel Without a Cause" to show the air of open defiance for authority that Danny tries so hard to project.
