Mission Accomplished in Iraq = we are able to leave and Iraq functions successfully with a democratic society.

I, unlike Bush, don't care if their economy is capitalist or not which is why we are really still there.

President Bush, shortly after the invasion of Iraq in 2003, landed on an Aircraft Carrier and declared, "Mission Accomplished," but little did he know this war would continue raging unabated and out of control nearly 4 years later.

When the sign said "Mission Accomplished", it meant that the singular mission of taking down the evil dictator Saddam Hussein was accomplished. I wish the stupids would stop using that to bash Bush and the war in Iraq in general, because anyone with brains and true understanding of what is going on KNOWS that it NEVER meant the war was won yet. You people are very frustrating when you continue to spout such ignorance all the time!

The elimination of Saddam's regime. That was the primary mission, according to Clinton's "Iraq Liberation Act" (1998), and it has been accomplished.

We are now in the mop-up phase in which Geneva Conventions require we keep a security force there until the local government can handle its own security and national defense.

We are now fighting against Islamists, trying to defend Iraq's sovereignty, just as Saddam was.

A myth, a moniker thought up by the very same sick minds that have us bogged down in Iraq right now.

A lie.

Why does he say stuff like that?

I'm sure he wouldn't if he didn't believe it. So which is worse, an ignorant fool incharge, or a liar?
