Can you explain the big bang theory in simple words, other theorys on how the universe was created, other religous stories you might know on how the universe was created, and anything else asscociated with this topic.(Also, some info on the universe and it's content's itself wouldn't hurt-it might prove useful to me later)

For those of you that say God did it I think you need to say HOW did he do it and if it was done by him why is it still expanding? I think both theories are possible at once. God may have done it with the big bang. However think about a bubble wand. You (or god) blow into it and a single drop of soap expands out to make a bubble. That soap drop is the entire universe. Someday the bubble will stop expanding as if you stopped blowing into it and it will collapse back to the wand but the momentum of it will cause it to expand on the other side of the wand (another big bang) and stretch outward again repeating it self over and over (the history repeating it self theory) This may sound crazy but it is as sound as saying god just made it show up one day. Truth is matter can create its self but an equal amount of antimatter must be created at the same time (proven theory). As matter formed it collected more matter floating through the void bringing with it gravity which collected more and more. when it got dense enough the core (like a planet) exploded and ta-da a universe. And everything in the universe is made from hydrogen and helium in different amounts.
Godlings please answer this.... Can god brew tea so hot that even he cant drink it?

Big Bang - space expanded from a singularity, eventually cooling enough to form solid matter, then clouds of matter collapsed to form stars and galaxies, more complicated elements than hydrogen formed in stars and in stellar explosions, and so on.

Other theories - that it had no beginning and will have no end. Not really supported by data - expansion of the universe (observed using supernova and gamma ray bursts) and cosmic microwave background radiation support the big bang theory.

Check out wikipedia for more info on the universe. Astronomy is a big field!

First let me say that the Big band theory is not complete. There are many problems that scientists are trying to solve. In a nut shull somthging triggered and enourmous amounts of energy cmae out from one pinpoint of a speck. All of this energy would make up all fo the energy and mass of the universe today.

let me point out that the original idea of the big band actually came from the christain chruch. Scientists finalized the idea and tried to make it more compatible with science

It is not easy to explain the Big Bang simply, it is quite a complicated matter. There is a very good web site which explains the BB and evidence for it called "Evidence for the Big Bang". It is worth reading. You will find it here:

Some say it was created by god while others say the big bang theory which says It was just a huge explosion that made the solar system, and galaxies and other stuff. There are other stories too.
