They got the benefit of a bad call when the Patriot defender got hit in the back by a pass from Manning. How in the hell is that a pass interference when the defender didn't even touch the reciever?

To the question about the pass interference penalty on the Patriots, if the defender does not attempt to turn around to find the ball and in fact, jumps in front of the receiver, it is face guarding, an automatic penalty. As far as the luckiest team to make the Super Bowl, it is a toss-up between the Steelers from last season and Denver the year Earnest Byner of the Browns fumbled on the one yard line. As for the Steelers, remember also the questionable officiating after Joey Porter basically called them racists.
