•Tusubasa Chronicle(story line with xxxholic interwine)(about timetravel, aboy will stop at nothing to find the heart of the girl he loves, but her heart wa shattedred into many pecies in the form of feathers, but the fathers are in many diffrent worlds, if the boy does not get the hearto f the girl, she will die)

•Chobits(a robot type of girl that falls in love with a human) kinda of perverted show, see the show you see why.
•Ufo princess Valykrie(funny, a powerful alien girl (age 18) turn’s eight when she gives half of her soul to a human boy(age 17) when she almost kills him. The girl Valkyrie, is in love with that boy. The boy is in love with Valkyire, 17+8 you do the math, kind perverted. See the show and you see why, bout really good story)

I love Hot Gimmick (Miki Aihara). Shy girl, multiple love interests, it's drama. Um.. it's manga, so I don't know whether there's an anime released for HG.
Kare Kano (Masami Tsuda): about finding yourself, friendships and love. Focusing on one central couple, but with very detailed stories on other couples (they are a group at school)
Nana (Ai Yazawa): very popular story about two completely opposite girls personality-wise, who share the same names. Lots of punk music references and clothes. Ai Yazawa has released other works on manga - all shoujo so check them out.
Lamune: short anime (12 eps) about 2 best friends who may or may not be more than friends. Set in a seaside town. It's very sweet!

Ranma 1/2 is a really good one, sort of about love, but in a cute, comedic way. There is some fighting, but it is also funny. It's actually the cartoon that got me into anime.
