if there is an accessible plug outside you could hold your hair dryer to it for a little while, or pour salt on it, salt makes the cold from the ice escape more quickly, causing the ice to melt faster but feel colder.

Course salt should do the trick if there is nothing close by that the salt will corrode. If you cannot use salt go to a hardware store and get some ice melter.

Get a propane weed burner.After it's melted scatter a little rock salt. It will help prevent refreezing

Salt, remember to was the salty residue out with cold water and brush most of the water away. Works for me.
