Our lemon tree has tons of lemons on it. Some of the lemons have little bite looking spots. Some have a large spot of white--covering maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of the lemon. Almost looks rotten but isn't. Most of the lemons are fine. Help!

sounds like some have been attacked by citrus bug and bronze orange bug, they stick their straw like mouth piece in to suck out the sap and often transmit bacteria through their saliva which causes the fruit to rot internally.

cut a few open and check out the insides, spray with a systemic insecticide - pick all the ripe ones first as you usually have to wait 3 weeks after spraying before you can eat them.

The ones w/ bite looking spots have probably been picked at by birds. The ones w/ white I don't know. Usually some are dark on my tree from some kind of bug that causes honeydew, then sooty mold. Call your local agricultural extension office and they will know.
