I own the first season of Green Acres, yes I remember Lisa's dog. It saw the house when Lisa came to the house for the first time & I think the dog got back into the car. Seems like it was chased by a rabbit in an episode, & in another one was under a pail or tub when the roof leaked so much. And isn't Lisa petting it when the show ' comes on '? I wanna say the dog's name is Fifi. There is no mention of anything happening to it , in the first year.

The dog actually belonged to Kate Bradley and her daughters who ran the Shady Rest hotel on Petticoat Junction. Green Acres was a spin off of the Petticoat Junction and the Bradley's were featured in the first few episodes. Sam Drucker was a character on both programs.

The dog on Green Acres is a Yorkie. The dog on Petticoat Junction was a mutt (no offense intended, I love mutts).

During the first season, the Douglases had a dog named Mignon (as in "filet mignon"). Mignon, was still "present" in Season 2, although not a lot of screen time.
Couldn't find any other info on the dog.

The little bitc*h got too big for her britches... asked for a raise... make enemies of the producers by insisting on a bigger dressing room, and in general, made a complete pain in the a*ss of herself. They fired her after three episodes!

That mutt on petticoat junction, was actually the famous Benji... The little dog on green acres just disappears, I'd love to know what happened too
