I asked my Dr's nurse and she said the Dr said it's ok to color my hair as long as it's a well ventilated area. Does anyone know if it's harmful? Should I keep coloring? I colored it once a while back but I'm further along now. I am 25 weeks and 6 days!

I had the same issue when I was pregnant. I did a little bit of research on it and found that its ok to color your hair. Better to do it in the 2nd trimester though. I colored my hair 3 times while I was pregnant. If it were harmful pregnant women wouldn't be doing hair and they wouldn't allow pregnant women into a place to have their hair colored. If coloring your hair is going to make you feel better than do it. I kept looking at my roots while I was pregnant and it made me feel like crap knowing that I looked like crap! Do what makes you feel good!!! Good Luck!!

It's up to you, but I know lots of people who continue to color. I got my hair colored further along in my pregnancy but the color did not take at all, due to hormones I was told

It is very safe, in a ventilated area! I have 5 children and they are all perfectly fine, and I have colored my hair for years! Congrats!

Yep, its okay as long as its in a well-ventilated area :)
However, something you may not be aware of is that the color may not take or..it may come out...very odd because of your hormones :)

Anything that doesn't have ammonia is safest while pregnant. But after the fist trimester it is safe to color your hair with any hair dye. Just make sure that the room is well ventilated.

Its fine, i colored my hair at 4 weeks pregnant (not knowing i was yet ) and I'm now 14 weeks and baby is fine.

its not real harmful but you have got to be in a way ventillated area cause if you get the inhalant of chemicals it may harm the baby

I know a lot of people who still color there hair, and your doctor is rigth as long as it is in a well ventolaited area.

i've always heard it's ok to color your hair when your pregnant if you use hair color without ammonia. Try Natural Match hair color or Garnie Neutrees (I'm sorry i can't spell :} )
