I think the UFL is not a pro team, but sort of like a minor league team. College players who dont make the NFL consider going to it and playing at a less competitive level to get some experience, and then if there good enough, they can move up to NFL. Also, if people do bad in NFL, they can still play football in UFL. Thats what i think the league is about.
