Hello
I have an gateway fpd1830 Moniter. Until recently it worked fine, but for the last week or so, it turns on OK and displays the usual picture for about a second, but then goes blank. I cannot get any picture to show from then on. If I turn it off then on again, it shows a picture for about a second again before going blank.
how do i fix it?

Doubt it is an airflow problem.
Get a bright light & shine it on the screen - if you can see the picture, then the backlight is at fault. You may be able to buy the low-to-high voltage converter, or the flouresent tube.

Mine did the same thing 3 weeks ago. I went around asking questions and most technicians I've talked too told me it was broken and needed a new one after 1 year 1/2. Mine was a Compaq FP7317

I'd check the cables first. If everything is tight, then this sounds like an overheating problem. Is there enough airflow?
If that's not it, then a warranty call is probably in order.

you cant its broke just buy another one or send it back for a replacement.
