Dems had control of the White House, Senate, and House in the early 90s. They did NOT pass universal healthcare. Yet, they spent the past handful of years being hateful and yakking about Bush not giving universal healthcare.

Why was it ok for Dems to not pass universal healthcare --- but not ok for Bush?

Also, Clinton gave ZERO help to poor American grandmas who need to buy prescription medicines. Bush at least gave some help --- about $60 billion per year.

Why do Dems spew so much hate?

War on Poverty-Democrat
Social Security- Democrat
I could be mistaken, but I believe it was Newt Gingrich and the Republican controlled congress around 1994 who shot down Universal Health Care. Unlike most conservatives who believe the poor are on their own or should rely only on charities, it is the Democrats who have been the frontrunners in aid to the needy and disabled.
I applaud Bush on his giveaway to the insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies. It wasn't much, but it was better than what there was previously.

Prescription medicines were already covered by medicare before Bush did a huge tax give away to the insurance companies by disguising his bill as a prescription drug benefit. This bill has been a nightmare not only for senior citizens because it only covers a very limited amount of drugs before they have to dole out the rest of their own retirement or social security pension for their expensive drugs. Not only that but it has been a nightmare for small town and mom & pop pharmacies which are going out of business because it forces them to have a cap on the cost of the drugs. the large pharmacies can absorb it. The insurance are making a mint off our tax $$. Bush outsourced medicare and it is costing us more.

You've certainly got your facts, if that's what you'd call them, completely wrong. President Clinton (1993-2001) proposed a national health care system that was drawn up in part by his wife, Hillary, and was turned down flat by a Newt Gingrich led republican controlled congress. The Democratic Party has always been accused by the Republicans as being the welfare party, does that sound to you as though they' re indifferent to the needs of the poor? Do try to keep up.

Nowhere in your diatribe do you say what the republicans have done for their fellow citizens.

The rest of the question is just nonsense.
