to put a pontiac 3800 supercharged engine in a pontiac sunfire? if so would the transmission have to be changed?

There is not enough room if your just pulling the 2.4L out.
I've seen the tube frame rear wheel drive Sunfires the the 3800 II with Supercharger and V8 383 and LS2 But they all did the tube frame because theres not enough room.

Even if you modify the strut towers you will be needing 6 to 8 inches more. Also if you were to go with the 3800 II you would need the Transaxle also for the final drive.

I've seen the 3100 Swaped in But they didn't get any better Horse Power and you can build a 2.4L Quad 4 Stronger and Better than any 3100...

There are plenty of place on the web for HorsePower up grades for your Quad 4...

i doubt it. only cause its a b*tch to put the 3800 into a grand am. you'd have a ton of clearance issues. it might be cheaper to just get a turbo kit for it.

Don't know if is possible due to clearance problems, trans would definitely need changed. Sure would be a fast ride!!
