I recently meet a woman, this was around a month ago so I cant say i know her THAT well yet. She is an amazing woman who i admire but really have not developed any form of feelings for. I mean, she is a beautiful woman, not to mention smart but i honestly don't feel that magical attraction towards her.

However, every time I find out that she has meet some man that she finds interesting, I burst with jealousy and anger! Why am I bursting with jealousy for a woman I don't feel anything for?

Is jealousy a sing that perhaps I care about her as more than a friend, or is it just a primitive territorial instinct kicking in?

Odd thing is, I never felt jealousy about a friend before.

Jealousy is an outward of fear. You fear that she is going to find someone esle. So u need to calm down and remember if u keep this up your fears are going to become reality. You need to learn how to trust her.If u can't then u need to move on.Good luck

Well, let me just tell you that:
Love Is Patient and Kind

Love is not jealous or boastful

Love is not arrogant or rude

Love does not insist on its own way

Love is not irritable or resentful

Love does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things

Love never ends

From John Chapter 1

If you believe in God, I don't know you well enough to say you do, but it clearly states that love is not jealous, so that would lead me to believe that it is, in fact inherent or an innate reaction.... Hope this helps a wee bit.

I actually feel opposite of what others said. I have been with guys in the past who didn't want to settle down with me yet they were jealous at the thought of me dating or sleeping with someone else besides them. One guy even told me that a man hates the thought of another man sleeping with someone he has slept with. I think it is a natural human instinct to be jealous and you are just being territorial and selfish. Of course I could be wrong but I would think if you really wanted to be with her you would be. Let her go and allow her to find someone who will treat her right.

"Think about it, ages ago we didn't have to worry about getting to our jobs on time or pay the bills" That's not true. As long as we've had government we've had taxes, and if you are referring to before civilization, we had to hunt and gather. I don't think trying to find berries and nuts in winter or spending days on end in search of a prey to kill with primitive weapons would be "care-free" at all or any less stressful than working to pay bills on time.

hmmmm, well, considering that I went through this with a guy, he feeling the same way you do, me being the girl he supposedly had only feelings of friendship for....he broke my heart...because he only cared about me that way when someone else was in the picture....
I think that deep down he really liked me (or maybe that is still a little false hope, who knows). But when it came down to it...it just wasnt enough...
I say truly evaluate your feelings...deeply and honestly...because you obviously care about her as a friend...

I am sorry to tell you but, you do have feelings for her. Look deeper into yourself and ask yourself what the pros and cons of her are and you will find that you have way more pros and they are mostly mushy. or I could be wrong and it's the "Alpha Male" thing again.
