I think if a man truly loves you like a man should then he wouldnt want to lay a hand on you and hurt you. He would want to keep you from getting hurt. Ive been married for 5 years almost and my husband has never laid a hand on me. He hasnt never done anything to hurt me physically, mentally, or emotionally. I think you could do better. They dont realize what they had until it was gone. My parents have been married for 40 years and dad never laid a hand on my mother. If he felt his tempur raise he would walk away until he calmed down. Most girls think its there fault. No way, Men know better than that. He will keep doing it if you let him girl.

Unless you're an awfully strong woman, you've got more on your plate than you are going to be able to handle, especially long-term. You need to talk to somebody, preferably a doctor, and get rid of some of the baggage you're trying to carry. Once you get on solid ground emotionally, you need to leave an abusive husband.....no excuse for him beating you. You're human, not an animal. In fact, most people treat animals better! Get your self-esteem built up, then move on! Good Luck!!

If your husband beats you, you need to get out of that relationship, NOW. Call your local hotline or women's shelter. Someone may even come and pick you up. It doesn't matter why he does it -- it's not acceptable for him to hit you. This is a dangerous situation for your children as well. Please call your local women's hotline now. If you dial 411, the directory assistance operator will help you. Wife-beating only gets worse, not better over time. You are only 20 -- you have your whole life ahead of you. Please get help now.

You would never purposely physically harm someone you love. People abuse their partners because they have low self-esteem and are controlling. They do not love them.

that is not love. it's control as a result of being insecure or feeling bad about one's situation. they may call it love because they don't know how to express themselves. but if someone is abusing you then you need to leave. if you don't have a job..get one. if you don't have friends...make some. be with your family.

Please get some help! That is not healthy and it is not love. You need to seek a Christian counseling center and have them assist you with all of this. You are going through a lot. God bless you.

if u are being physically abused how could u think he loved u? as one doesn't love himself if he abuses his wife, and to love someone one must love their self. get out of the marriage if your being abused, as it usually never stops, just gets worse. he hates himself and takes it all out on u.

hell no. that is just wrong. first off, a man should never hit his wife. that is wrong on his part. if you love someone, hurting them should be the last thing on your mind. if he calls that love, i would hate to see his hate.
