probiotics are the friendly, native flora of your gut. Probionts are a mystery to me. There are some things called PRE-biotics that a simply the sugars (Glucooligosaccharides and fructooligosaccharides, GOS and FOS) that feed these friendly bacteria. Never heard of probionts.

Probiotics are healthy bacteria that can help in your digestion of food. I have never heard of the other.
