stretch every single day, try to push yourself just a little bit harder without hurting yourself. be creative and open to new ideas- be inspired by many things around you! let your mind go loose- turn on the music and see what your body creates based on its interpretation of the music.

For flexibitlity, do yoga or pilates. Memorizing dances shouldnt be that hard but just practice what you know of the dance about five minutes every day. I've been a dancer for 10 years now and i have been in pointe for 3 and what has been good excersices is doing releves on a phone book and picking up marbles with your toes. It works great!

P.S: For extra practice on grande jetes' do some splits on steps!

I'd say a class is the best way. But as you don't have much time you could try a dance training DVD.

You're bad.... only have 20 minutes a day... & want to know pointe?? What kind of dream world do you live in??

Quit sleeping...that'll give you more practice time...which is the most important factor.

Practice makes perfect- especially in ballet!!

maybe you should find a work-out/dance dvd suiting your preference of style of dancing....after doing it so many times....it will just come easier every time you do it.

for pointe I have a stretch for your ankles that strengthens but you have to do it everyday. you lie on your back and put your feet up in the air. then you write the alphabet with your ankles. It strengthens your ankles for pointe.
