Sometimes all I do is sneeze and I get one. They don't hurt too bad but they look weird.

Not really much you can do. I use Clear Eyes, it keeps the rest of the eye looking less bloodshot and it does help with a little of the redness.

Try not to itch it. Like any wound, it will start to itch once it starts to heal. Use the Clear Eyes. It helps lubricate too. Hope this helps.

I had this exact thing happen to me. Last night, I vomited violently for an hour and this morning when I woke up, it was all red and a broken blood vessel. From what I've found online and been told by my co-workers, the approximate time for it to completely go away is 10 days. I hope so for the both of us!

oh I feel for you, this happened to both of my eyes at the same time! The good news is for me within 3 days they were looking much better and was almosty completly back to normal within a week, the bad news is that for some people it may take up to a month for full recovery- but you should see significant improvement within 3-5 days.

Depends how large an area turned red.
I did the same to BOTH eyes laboring with my first baby. It was about 3 weeks before it cleared up.

It will start fading in a couple days. It will turn from red to orangish to pinkish, then disappear. Keep yourself well-hydrated and use some artificial tears without preservatives if your eye feels dry. But it will go away without any treatment.
Hope you feel better.
