A Guinea Pig should weigh no more then 3 pounds. If they are over that it is unhealthy. To help a overweight Guinea Pig loose weight, give him/her extra time out of the cage in a Pig safe room, with toys and let him/her play there for about an hour and half each day. Soon those extra pounds will be gone and you will have a much happier and healthier Guinea Pig.

Adult guinea pigs, aka cavies weigh a minimum of 32 ounces.

To lose weight, means a rationed diet and exercise. Cut out the extra "treats" and offer more exercise time.

Don't rule out it being pregnant. A couple of friends of mine who were pre-vet were surprised when they found out that their guinea pig was giving birth.

My guinea pig was so fat, small objects used to orbit him
Try putting him on a running machine and give him some diet pills and dr.pepper.
