Ok I replied, here was my response.
Here is the easiest way to do it.And the way I love it.
Toast your bread.
Mix about a half a cup of butter(softened)
1 1/2 tsps of garlic powder
1 tsp of italian seasoning
1/8 tsp of salt
Soften butter,mix in seasonings.
Place butter and bread on table.
Then everyone can spead their own amount of seasoned butter on their toast.
Or to just bake it with butter on it as you had planned... use about 1 1/2 to 2 tsps of garlic powder, less if it is garlic salt.
Hope this helps

Some real garlic fiends answered on the other one!!! Garlic powder varies in strength from brand to brand. Soften some butter, add about half a teaspoon, mix then taste. Hard to tell you cause I don't know what you are working with.

You have 4 good ones there now, and the first one is the most accurate. Spread the butter on, then sprinkle on garlic powder or garlic salt to taste. Put some mozzarella cheese on there too, if you want a really GOOD taste.
