Of course you don't have to be muscular. In fact, to be a businessman, people don't judge you on your look. My father tells me all the time that people judge a businessman or women by their knowledge. Honestly with me, usually when I see a tall big buff man, I kind of think that he isn't really that bright. So you shouldn't really care what others think of you, I never do. Their opinion doesn't count as much of yours do. People just tease each other all the time, don't take it too personally. I bet their only teasing you because they are just jealous.

Are you bothered about what other people think ? The secrets of success as a business person is being able to handle criticism and you will get lots of that when you strike out on your own, most likely people are so damn jealous that you have the guts to get up and do what they would not dare to do and the only thing they can find to criticise about you is your physical structure. tell em to go and sling it, you are happy ! I bet you drive a damn fine motor car and live in a fine house dont ya ? Ha ha !

I think you will find out that the skills you have to offer are more important that you way you look.
If you are thinking of starting your own business or going to work for a business, the skills (especially your people skills) should shine through and skinny will not matter.

Well, looks DO matter in business - first impressions, personal disposition, etc - but you don't have to look like Hulk Hogan in in his earlier years in order to qualify yourself.
If you're getting teased because you're skinny, then chances are the people aren't being malicious or are even jealous of you in some way. Don't worry about it.

No way! You're already "skinny" and a businessman - you disproved that theory. Now, as to wether or not you'll be successful seems to come from your ethics, principles, and daily decisions, not your weight. Rock on!

NOPE.... to be successful it is important to be genuine, honest and self motivated. A super smile and personality along with honesty goes a long way!!!! Reputation will be key, not your looks... One day those who have the build and looks will not look like that.... at least you will still have a good reputation when that time comes. Being a non smoker and someone who has faith in God are also good traits....... I like doing business with someone who is of good faith, I feel more secure with them handling my personal info.

Muscles reflect power, but I think that integrity in the business world carries more weight. It just takes longer for people to realize a persons integrity.
Bill Gates isn't huge. Sam Walton wasn't a beast.

When the others tease you simply announce you are so glad that you are nice and trim rather than overweight. Since no doubt some of the others are overweight. Be sure to walk away with a superior smirk.

Yeah, Warren Buffet and Ross Perot are real powerhouses. You just need a strong mental muscle to be a good business person!
