the one that i call stechey likes to swim, and stay out of his shell.the other one named dryey like to stay likes to stay in its shell and be on a rock.

I love turtles so much I had two One (female) Shelley :] and the other ones names was Myrtle <-- like turtle but with a M and spelled different hah :] I sure do miss them. :// Congrats with your babies though :]

Those sound like wonderful names for them but if you are not sure, just try talking to them for a few days using those names and you will see if they fit. Names are not so very important to turtles as long as they get the care they need. My turtle doesn't come because i call her by name, she comes because she hears my voice.
There are ways of getting pet turtles without buying them from the pet store. I got mine by giving a donation to the Children's hospital in our area in name of the pet store. For a $10 donation, they gave me a turtle. They had turtles in the store that they were giving away free with when you bought the whole tank set up.

Yes, I've always wanted to buy a mini turtle... but they (all turtles) are illegal to sell in pet stores now in canada, Ontario
