I own a shop, and the way we do this is to remove the front tires, and remove the inner fender well. It is easier than you think to get it off. You will see you can use a long extension, and a socket. Sometimes you have to use a wobble to make it work out though. To install the new plug, use a straight boot off an old plug wire as an installation tool. Put the plug in the boot, and that will extend it out far enough to use your fingers to start the plug. Remove the boot, and turn it on in with the tools. You can do it from under the vehicle as well, but to me it seems easier to just remove the tire and go through the big hole that is there.
Glad to help you, good luck!!!

Yeah, lefty loosey, righty tighty. How about WHICH GM van, WHICH motor, WHICH year??? Mini van? You say 2 plugs, how does anyone know that isn't a typo and you mean 3 because its a V6? Some don't have a doghouse, have to go from underneath, sometimes better to work on a stool and get a good reach.
