No you are not required to tell them. However, if they ask you on the application why you left your previous employer and you do not answer truthfully, you may not be hired or can later be terminated for falsifying your application. When an employer verifies your previous employment, most past employers will only release former dates and titles. Some will verify whether or not you are eligible for rehire. This, in itself, can be an indicator that you were terminated. Sometimes it simply indicates a company's policy that they never rehire former employees. It is always, always best to be honest.

If you don't put the job that you got fired from on your resume they will not find out. If you do put it on there they will most likely call them for a reference and all your ex-boss can really tell them is if they would re-hire you. They can't give them specific reasons as for WHY you were fired.

They will most likely call or email your former employer for a reference. You would be better off to tell them up front and explain if you can.

if your that worried, just forget you even worked there don't write it on your resume.... but if you have to write it on your resume just tell them what you did there and maybe they won't ask you why you left that job.... if they do find out you were fired hopefully they won't hold it against you... pray about it GOD is faithful HE will help you.....

They can't use that information against you unless they want to support you.
