Personally, I'm quite fat, and I hate fat people because I'm projecting my anger at being fat on them. To be totally honest, I hate being fat, and I'm disgusted at myself for being fat, and that's why I hate them. I don't tend to tease people, I just feel disgust.

I don't know. Not about the teasing or the "hate". I did see a fat man defend a fat woman at an all you can eat buffet. A man of average build was harrassing the woman, and the fat man waited until the man sat with his family. He walked up to their table, and calmly asked the man what made him so secure in insulting other people that he would put his wife and children in danger of some disgruntled fat person following them home and ramming their car or hurting them in their sleep. The fat man sat down at a table behind the man, so he could stare at the wife. The family soon left.
I like to think the wife pretty much harrassed the husband for being so stupid.

I think because we aren't as pleasing to the eye that some people think that makes them superior. To ridicule, hate, tease, torture people who are plump, fat or obese, seems to be a favorite past time. I think it takes a very insecure person to do that. Yes, some of us are fat because of the nutritional choices that we make, and some are, due to medications that they take. I have been the butt of many jokes, and its painful. Just because you tease a fat person, it isn't going to make them go on a diet.
Its going to make them even more insecure and depressed, and then food becomes their only friend. Its a viscious cycle, and very hurtful.
Ziggy and Blazin- You are very insecure aren't you? Its easier to pick on people that you don't even know, its easier to be rude and obnoxious than to care for your fellow man. I'll bet you two are meant to be together, for you both must be perfect to find other peoples faults so appauling. I hope you never have to take steroids for a medication, and I hope your metabolism stays great. Seldom do my hopes and dreams come true, therefore, someday, you both will probably be fat like Me. The difference is, I am happy with who I am, maybe not how I look, but who I am. Can either of you say that about yourselves. Doubtful, very doubtful

I dont think they tease all fat people, but they will tease the fat people who tick them off. On the other hand, if they hate a fat person, they will tease them, just the same as anyones weakness will be teased, if they do something that makes them mad

When people are bored fat people become a target. Not that it's right, people tease big people because they stand out but big people aren't the only people who get teased. I've seen skinny people be teased as well.

Because the people have low self steams them self and the fact that the USA makes it seem that everyone has to be a 80lbs super model to be "In the cool group" or your just fat ya know.. People are just jealous of other that have a good attitude and a better life on the inside.

All of those people that tease, have a serious problem with self esteem.
They don't "hate" fat people...they hate themselves.
I'm not sure how old you are are, but this is something you'll learn as you get older.
My adivce is...be yourself, hookup with a good group of loyal friends...and be funny (it humor is something you're good at).

I think they do it to make themselves feel better. Everyone has insecurities and to point out someone elses issues ensures that they feel "better" than atleast one person in the world. People pick out physical problems, like obesity, because they are obvious and everyone can see them.
It's really too bad.

Because the people who are teasing them are just ignorant, someones weight is no ones business but the person carrying the weight.

Because obesity scares people. They are afraid they might get the same way, for whatever the reason and that is scary to them. It is wrong any way you look at it. Similarity goes unnoticed while differences are shocking.
