First of all, i'm sorry to hear about your mom. I know it's hard losing someone close to you. I have lost someone close to me.

Second of all, if this is the path your dad is choosing you will just have to warm up to it. Still love him and have a good talk with him. I mean, maybe you're just reading too much into this? Maybe the reason he is going to a lingerie store or to a saolon or buying home decorations is because he found a new girlfriend and he is afraid of what you might do? Or maybe he is just becoming feminine. Either way just talk to him and find out the truth before you go crazy with assumptions.

Third of all, i'm sure your mom would understand more than anyone in this world. Best of luck to you. ♥

The only way this belongs n the Dance section is if your dad is emulating Tommy Tune, a famous gay dancer who is also very tall and maybe to some people doesn't *look* gay. LOL

Sorry, I think your dad has a new ladyfriend in his life. Buying her lingerie and maybe stopping in a beauty salon to get some ideas on what to buy for her. Decorations? The Bower Bird of Australia is famous for decorating his nest to attract females for mating purposes. So probably is your pop, so mind your own beeswax, kid!

Maybe your Dad has a girl friend and he was buying the lingerie for her, (Maybe he feels guilty about having one, and that's why your not aware), lots of men go to a salon to get their hair cut, I was in one Friday night and there were more men then women!!! Maybe your thinking this all wrong, I don't think you should say anything, just wait and see, you might be reading this all wrong, and won't you be embarrassed if your not correct?

Why is this in the dance category?
No offense, but- don't you think a guidance counselor can answer your question better than hip-hop and ballet dancers?
Try moving this to mental health or culture (there is a gay forum).
And so what if he is gay- he's your dad! Does that make him a different person?

Is it really relevant if your dad is or isn't gay? As long as he's a good father to you, it's really not your business. He is an adult and is entitled to his own personal life whether or not you agree with it. I think you would probably appreciate the same kind of respect from your father toward you.

What do those things have to do with being gay? Maybe he was buying stuff for you mom? If you're that stressed about it (which you have no reason to be) you should talk to your dad about it first, not go running to your mom.

Talk to him first before doing anything else. Here is the key, really listen to what he has to say. Go in with a blank slate and listen to everything he tells you.
If he is, and he is happier that way, then be happy for him. The issues he and your mom have to sort out are between them. Focus you conversation on his relationship with you.

As long as he loves you and is good to you then you have nothing to fear. Plus I dont think people just change and turn into a gay person. I think you should look into other options.

Good Luck

I agree why is this in dance, but anyway, i guess just break the news slowly to your "mom" and go live with her for a while untill you figure it all out.

maybe he was getting it for someone else. ask him why he was there because it will be less embarrasing than finding out that he's not the hard way! If you really think he's gay, confront him. do not confront your mom first.
